So this morning I was on the drive to work...
My commute is rather long so I often stop on the way and get something to 
eat/drink. Today I stopped at 7/11, and I bought a Cliff bar and something 
I thought was a Red Bull-like energy drink.  It was a can of something called, 
"Spike Shooter".
After drinking it I thought I was going to die.  I had to leave work early I was so 
f-ed up. Sweating, shaking, heart rate out of control, this drink is no fucking joke.
I am no newbie when it comes to caffinee and energy drinks etc,  as such
I was very surprised how much this effected me.  I used to pound those Epherda 
drinks you could get at the gym before they outlawed them, and they did not 
compare to this.  It made Red Bull seem like luke warm water.
I looked at the can, to see what the hell was in this concotion, after having drank
it only to see numerous warnings cluttering the can.  These included:

"Recommended Use: Begin use with one-half can daily to determine tolerance.
Never exceed one can daily."
and
"Warning: Do not use if you are under the age of 16 or elderly. Do not take with
any other stimulant or weight-loss supplement or any prescription or over-the-counter
medicine. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing or at risk of being treated for
high-blood pressure, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, spasms, psychiatric disease,
suffer from migraines, have asthma, or are taking asthma medication.
Discontinue use if you experience dizziness, headaches, nausea, or heart palpitations.
If you have trouble sleeping, do not take within 6 hours of bedtime.
Keep out of reach of children. "

This shit is no joke I assure you.  Here are the active ingrediants:

For comparison,  coffee (2 shots of esspresso) usually has 100mg, can of Red Bull
has 80mg.   Which is odd, I have occasionally drank a couple of 4 shot Latte's, 
while it makes me wired as hell, I dont nearly die like I felt like I was doing today.
The other shit in the drink must have caused my adverse effects, who knows.
What the hell is N-acetyl-L-tyrosine, or Caffeine anhydrous?  Sounds like stuff
in a tea a tribal shaman from the Brazilian rain forest would prepare for a
vision quest.  Else it was like something that Jonathan Hurt drank right before
he turned into that blob guy near the end of Altered States.

So I am reading Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness.  

My wife asks me what I am reading.  I tell her and she says,

"Oh yeah I have read that, I think they based The Thing on that."

 So not only has she read At the Mountains of Madness, she knows that The Thing,
one of my favorite movies is partially based on it. 

Awesome.

*Point of fact, The Thing was based on a story called Who Goes There? by Campbell,
who was inspired by the Lovecraft

What up peoples.
Ok it is beer night, yay me! (Beer night is limited to one night this week because the mother in-law is coming this weekend, I think I will instead do DMT in my closet while she is here), I got my four pack of La fin Du Monde and I am chill-axin'. So here are my random thoughts...

On demand makes me the commander of my life.
I love on demand tv(I reallly love ondemand HD). Now I dont have to watch shows at a specific time, I rule the time continum. Yeah I am late to the game, and I dont have TIVO, still on demand rules. Everything that has ever been shown via a video device should be available on demand, there is no excuse the technology exisits now. It will be like that soon, <--Official prediction, note to self, revisit page in 5 yrs.

Penn & Teller Bulshit rules!
I have watched episodes of this fantastic show in the past via like outube etc, now I can get it on demand and I have been watching the shit out of it. I love it, not only do I like the subject matter, I like the fact that they 1) curse like crazy , and 2)will throw a boob or two on the screen for no reason, similar to european TV ,etc. Yes I can handle a can a fucking curse, and boobs do no one harm, wake up America!
Anyway, the show is great, I highly reccomend it. I have not seen all the episodes, so I am afraid to watch the one about cryptozoology. If they say bigfoot is Bullshit, I will get unneccessarily emotional, so I will avoid that one.
Along the same lines, Penn makes a video blog most everday, and they are pretty funny most of the time, check em out here.. (yes I got my blog name from here, sue me) Penn Says
